Excellent post.
I am pretty knowledgible on the power of visualization, however I however I had no idea Tiger Woods had been doing visualization since the age of 10.
Visualization, has now entered a new phase, with the creation of mind movies, making movies of your desired outcome, watching it as a short video, with your own unique blend of images, affirmations & music.
It’s something I have started to really look into.

@Martyn, Yes, you’re absolutely right.

It is also good to note that unlike many other top sportsmen, Tiger started developing his visualization skills and perfected it, at a very young age. That puts him many years way ahead of everybody else.

Just goes to show that the earlier you start, the better

I think you’ll find that most pro golfers use the visualization method it’s just that Tiger utilises it a lot better. It is all part of the ‘think positive’ mentality that many sportsman use, definitely one which a top darts player for example would enlist. A snooker player would also visualize and strike with a positive mind. At any level of these sports the two traits if used would improve anyone’s game. Tiger just happens to have one hell of a lot of talent to back it up.

@Randy J, The terms used may differ slightly depending where you're coming from. In sports psychology studies for instance, it may be referred to as Mental Imagery. It is basically putting the picture (static or moving) of the outcome in your mind.
